the why
Financial management is an essential life skill that, when developed early, establishes the foundation for long-term stability and success. As individuals gain greater financial independence, the complexity of managing and tracking expenses often grows, potentially leading to poor decision-making and inefficient financial practices. This highlights the need for intuitive, user-centered solutions that empower individuals to effectively manage their finances, make informed decisions, and foster sustainable financial well-being.

How can the app be made more convenient in terms of usage?
key findings
The existing app has no option for the users to find out how much they spend on a specific item, such as food, and there is no search option for users to find out how much they spend on food per month
The main function of the app is to enter income and expenses, but due to the poor user interface, it is unclear where to enter new income and expenses.
Not able to alert user properly regarding overspending.
People do not want to add another app in their repertoire to check all the time (create a widget).
Inefficient categorizing.
empathy map
Empathy maps are a valuable tool for understanding users thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, helping to align design solutions with their needs. This empathy map provided deep insights into the target audience's pain points, such as the desire for automated bill splitting, detailed transaction tracking, and a more intuitive financial management experience. By identifying these key issues, it guided the development of features like AI-driven expense analysis, automated savings, and seamless transaction categorization, ensuring the solution is both user-centric and effective in addressing real-world challenges.
